The 5.5 Release of Pocket Informant is reporting an error when users attempt to connect to Google for task or event syncing. We do apologize for this error. We are working on a resolution as quickly as possible.
In the meantime we offer this work around. You can sync your device to Google Calendar and bring your event data into Pocket Informant.
To use this workaround please go into the Pocket informant settings, accounts and remove the Google Calendar sync accounts.
Next you will have to set up your device itself to sync to Google you can follow the simple steps at the link below to set this up.
Now open the stock iOS calendar that came with your device (not Informant) and make sure that your Google data is visible there.
If it is please go to the Informant settings, accounts, and move the calendar app slider to the on position. This will bring your Google calendars into Informant. You will not have all of the normal features that Informant offers but you can view, add, edit, and delete items.
Once our update is released and the issue is fixed you will need to go into the Informant settings, accounts and move the calendar app slider to the off position and add your Google Calendar sync account back in and tap begin sync.
This will restore the operation to what they were before the issue occurred.
For Google Tasks, there is not a workaround to bring Google Tasks into Pocket Informant via the device as iOS devices cannot sync directly to Google Tasks. The best workaround for Google Tasks is to install the Google Tasks application and use that until our next update is released.
As long as you do not change your Google Task sync settings you will not need to take any action post update to restore the task syncing.
Please accept our apologies for this concern we are working as quickly as possible on a solution.
