The issue was identified on 3/8 and an update was submitted to Apple also on 3/8 with a correction. Further we requested an expedited review and release. We are waiting for the Apple approval and release.
Unfortunately there is no way to test for this kind of issue in beta or internal testing and that is why it made its way out. Please accept our sincerest apologies for this issue.
In the meantime you can unlock Informant with this workaround-
Go to https://pocketinformantonline.appspot.com/signup and create a TRIAL Informant sync account. If your email address reports that the email already exists vary it by a letter or digit to create the account (it doesn't have to be an active email address for this).
Once the account is created go to the Informant application, settings, accounts and add the Informant Sync account and tap begin sync.
This will unlock the application for you while we work on the issue.
This is just a workaround, you DO NOT need to assign ANY data to the sync service unless you choose to do so.
If for some reason this does not unlock the application OR you are unable to add an Informant Sync account to the application please let us know and we will provide an alternate method for unlock.
